NANCY SHEVELL married Sir Paul McCartney at the Westminster Register Office on Sunday (9th October 2011). The American businesswoman and her new husband both wore creations by Paul's fashion designer daughter Stella Mccartney, reports the UK's Daily Mirror.
After being mobbed by friends, family and fans outside the register office, the newlyweds returned to Paul's $5 million home where The Beatles star made an emotional speech in front of a star studded crowd that included Ringo Starr, Ronnie Wood and Jools Holland. One guest revealed, "Paul was in such good spirits and looked very, very proud indeed. His love for Nancy clearly runs very deep indeed". MCCartney later performed a specifically written song for his wife, before renditions of 'Let it Be' and the Wings track 'Let Me Roll It'. Stella had designed a long sleeved ivory dress with matching ivory flower for Nancy, while father Paul wore a dark suit with a white shirt and pale blue tie. Asked how he felt after the ceremony, a beaming Sir Paul said, "Terrific, thank you. I feel married. I feel absolutely wonderful".
The couple first met in the Hamptons in Long Island in 2008, shortly after MCCartney's highly publicised divorce from second wife HEATHER MILLS.
