For Anne Curry, there is at least schadenfreude. Forced to leave the Today show as ratings began falling for the NBC morning talker, she has witnessed ratings falling even further in the three months following her departure. Today's (Wednesday) New York Post points out that in the ten weeks leading up to Curry's exit,Today averaged 4.94 million viewers. In the 10 weeks since, it has averaged 4.60 million, according to Nielsen Research. And that figure includes the two weeks of the Summer Olympics, when ratings For Today bulged. Meanwhile, ratings for Good Morning America have averaged 4.70 million over that same 10-week period. And those numbers could rise still further if the rumored plan to bring in Michelle Obama and Ann Romney to substitute for Robin Roberts, who is being treated for leukemia, materializes. Also being lined up as subs reportedly are Oprah Winfrey, Stephen Colbert, Diane Sawyer, Barbara Walters, and former Today cohost Katie Couric.
