Nerina Pallot follows up her 2009 album The Graduate with her fourth studio album 'Year of the Wolf' set for release on May 30th 2011 through Geffen Records; the album is preceded with the new single 'Put Your Hands Up'.
'Year of the Wolf' was produced by ex-Suede guitarist Bernard Butler and Nerina's husband Andy Chatterly and was predominantly written and recorded whilst Nerina was pregnant. Though the name Nerina Pallot might not be familiar to many people, you might just have heard one or more of her songs. Her 2007 album 'Fires' won her a 'Best British Female' nomination at the 2007 BRIT Awards and in more recent times, has written 2 songs for Kylie Minogue's 2010 album 'Aphrodite' including latest single 'Better Than Today'; Nerina's new single 'Put Your Hands Up' was also originally penned for Kylie's album.
Throughout Nerina's new album, she remains quite loyal to her pop roots succinctly stating: 'People over-intellectualise pop sometimes - good pop should be three and half minutes about sex really.'
