The footage was leaked on Thursday (16th January) and shows McHenry as she verbally abuses the clerk. McHenry can be seen mocking the clerk's level of education and physical appearance, insulting her weight and teeth. "Maybe if I was missing some teeth they would hire me, huh?" McHenry said. "I'm in television and you're in a f****** trailer, honey."
The incident appears to have occurred under two weeks ago, on 6th April, as Arlnow.com reports. ESPN suspended McHenry for a week after the leak went viral. A spokesperson for the network confirmed the news, stating that McHenry's suspension was effectively immediately, according to reports on NY Post.
McHenry apologised for her comments in a short statement released on Twitter: "In an intense and stressful moment, I allowed my emotions to get the best of me and said some insulting and regrettable things. As frustrated as I was, I should always choose to be respectful and take the high road. I am so sorry for my actions and will learn from this mistake."
