He later founded his own publishing company, Antisia Music, and penned Where Is The Love for Roberta Flack, a tune that earned two Grammy Awards.
MacDonald earned another two Grammys of his own, as a performer and producer for Calypso Breakdown, which appeared on the soundtrack for 1977's Saturday Night Fever.
The star worked with a number of other popular artists throughout his career, including Billy Joel, Paul Simon, David Bowie, James Taylor, Aretha Franklin, Luther Vandross, Bette Midler, Quincy Jones, Diana Ross, the tragic Amy Winehouse and Grover Washington, Jr, for whom he wrote iconic songs Just the Two of Us and In the Name of Love.
