Nicholas Hoult got drunk at "eight in the morning" to cope with shooting sex scenes.

The 'X-Men: First Class' actor had a number of raunchy plotlines when he appeared in British TV drama series 'Skins' in 2007 and 2008 and was uncomfortable when he had to get close to one of his female co-stars for the first time.

He recalled: "We grabbed a couple glasses of vodka and some champagne at eight in the morning, and we just went on and did it."

The 21-year-old star has received widespread critical acclaim for many of his movies, including 'A Single Man' opposite Colin Firth, but still worries his career could come to an end at any time.

He told BlackBook magazine: "I still worry that I'm never going to get another job. Whenever a new film comes out, I always worry that it's going to be the one people look at and go, 'Don't ever hire him again.' "

Nicholas also admitted he hates watching himself on screen and walking down the red carpet at premieres because of the attention it brings.

He said: "I enjoy the acting part. But then I forget that people are actually going to watch it."

Speaking about his fear of attending premieres, he added: "There are so many people watching you."
