Hip-hop stars Nick Cannon, Common and The Roots drummer ?Uestlove have signed up to appear in a new version of popular TV game show Hollywood Squares.
The trio will guest star on several episodes of VH1 spin-off show Hip Hop Squares, which is set to premiere in America on Tuesday (22May12).
Also due to participate in the series are Wu-Tang Clan member Method Man, rapper Fat Joe, Biz Markie, record producer DJ Khaled, actor Donald Glover and Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino.
Radio personality Peter Rosenberg will serve as the programme's host and he's hoping young fans will enjoy the chance to see their idols in a different light.
He tells the New York Post, "You can take any show, really, and make it hip-hop. And it pretty much becomes more entertaining. You rarely see a lot of rappers in a place where they're not taking themselves seriously, and they're laughing and smiling."
Long-running U.S. series Hollywood Squares premiered in 1965 but it was taken off the air after nearly four decades in 1994.
