Harry Styles' close pal Nick Grimshaw says the singer needs a break because he is exhausted.
Nick Grimshaw believes Harry Styles is ''exhausted'' by One Direction.
The 21-year-old singer and his bandmates Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne will take an extended hiatus from March 2016 and Harry's pal Nick agrees they all need a break after five years in the spotlight.
He said: ''People think being a pop star is glamorous but it's exhausting and disorienting at their level. They don't see the world, they just do press in different cities. They're men now and they need to experience some actual life. Everyone takes breaks. Katy Perry's off at the moment. No one's crying.''
Radio 1 DJ and 'X Factor' judge Nick also hit out at the Kardashians and people's obsession with celebrities.
Speaking to The Guardian's Weekend magazine, he said: ''It's fine to take an interest but I hate it when people say 'I love celebs'. What does that mean? You must love something specific about them.
''I hate that my niece loves Kylie Jenner. It's just perpetuating that moronic Kardashian thing.''
However, he does love Kylie's brother-in-law Kanye West, explaining: ''I love Kanye. Pop stars should be crazy and make grand statements. 'My name's Kanye and I'm God'. Sorry, who? 'God'.''
