Police are stepping up their search for Nick Stahl, the Terminator 3 actor who was reported missing on May 9, 2012 and is feared to be in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles. The 32-year-old's wife Rose says he has disappeared a handful of times though has always returned after a couple of days.
Police are not treating the case as a criminal matter and say no foul play is suspected, though Stahl's wife believes his disappearance is drug related, telling People magazine, "He could have overdosed, that's one thought. And I'm wondering if there will be a body recovered". The couple filed paperwork in February allowing Rose to keep Nick from seeing their 2-year-old daughter if he fails a drug test - and he has been living with a male friend since that time. She continued, "That was an adult, loving decision that we made to try to inspire his recovery and maybe even scare him away from relapse". Stahl - who also starred opposite Mel Gibson in 'The Man Without a Face' - had struggled with addiction during his teenage years, though the problems became worse.
As mentioned, police are concentrating their search for the actor on Los Angeles' notorious Skid Row neighbourhood, known for its drug problems, crime and homelessness.
