Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage spent a night in Count Dracula's castle while filming his Ghost Rider sequel on location in Romania.
The Gone In 60 Seconds star was shooting in Eastern Europe last year (11) when he decided to join a tour of Transylvania's Bran Castle, the fortress marketed as the home of the vampire character in Bram Stoker's Dracula.
He invited his Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance co-star Idris Elba to join him but the Brit was too spooked to visit the tourist attraction, and thought Cage was mad when he suggested staying there overnight.
During an interview on U.S. morning show Live! With Kelly, Elba said, "Romania's beautiful and the landscape, but... (there's a) beautiful mountain and at the top of the mountain is Transylvania...
"They do these midnight tours where you can go and spend the night in Dracula's castle. Apparently (Cage) did. I passed, I was like, 'No, I'm alright in my hotel, thank you very much!'"
Ironically, Cage was recently forced to dismiss bizarre rumours he is a real-life vampire, insisting, "I don't drink blood and last time I looked in the mirror, I had a reflection, so I'm not going with this vampire theory. I'm just not going to do it."
