Nicole Scherzinger will "pay homage" to Pussycat Dolls on her forthcoming tour.

The 33-year-old singer is set to embark on a series of solo concerts next year but has promised part of her set will be influenced by her former band, who she left next year.

She said: "The tour is not going to be as big a spectacle as Rihanna or Katy Perry's were. There will be dancers, a live band and I'll pay homage to the Pussycat Dolls."

The 'Don't Hold Your Breath' hitmaker recently described herself as "Queen Doll" and admitted she finds her solo career more relaxing than being in a band.

She said: "Before it was like I had my entourage with me, my girl gang - and now it's just me. On stage I was definitely more like a character, like we were all little superhero dolls and I was like Queen Doll.

"With five girls in a group there's always a lot of things involved. When it's just you, you've only got a couple of people around you and it's a lot more relaxed.

"I'm in touch with a few of them. We grew up so much together, that's always going to be a sisterhood. I couldn't be in a group with anyone else."
