On Friday (March 28), several more images have surfaced, including photos of Cobain's suicide note, which was found in a planter in the greenhouse impaled by a pen. The photos' release comes as the 20th anniversary of Cobain's death nears as well as 25 years since the release of the grunge rockers' debut album, Bleach. To mark a quarter of a century since the record's release, the band will finally be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.

"I have it good, very good, and I'm grateful, but since the age of seven, I've become hateful towards all humans in general," wrote Cobain in the letter, which was addressed to his imaginary childhood friend, "Boddah." "Only because it seems so easy for people to get along that have empathy. Only because I love and feel sorry for people too much I guess," he added.

"Thank you all from the pit of my burning, nauseous stomach for your letters and concern during the past years. I'm too much of an erratic, moody baby! I don't have the passion anymore, and so remember, it's better to burn out than to fade away," the guitarist wrote.

With several important milestones to mark, 2014 marks a year of focussed interest upon the cult rockers. Towns in Washington state where Cobain was born and Nirvana were formed, including Hoquiam and Aberdeen have marked the year with community celebrations and art projects whilst a Seattle tattoo parlour gave out free tattoos on the 20th anniversary of In Utero last September.
