Biography

Nothing But Thieves
Nothing But Thieves is an English Rock band from Essex. The members are Conor (Vocals), Joe (Guitar), Price (Drums), Dom (Guitar), and Phil (Bass).

Formation: Conor, Joe, and Dave went to school together.
Whilst in sixth form, Dom joined the school, and became friends with them.
Phil and Dom are cousins, and Dom knew Price prior to the band.
Dom was a classically trained guitarist.
They believe their music is much more than 'Rock' but find it hard to explain what genre it actually is.

Music Career: The band took a six-week trip to the United States together in 2012.
They worked with various songwriters in LA, New York, and Nashville.
The band performed at T In The Park in 2014.
Zane Lowe played the bands song 'Emergency', on Radio 1.
They will be touring the UK from February 2015.
The band will also be playing at Leeds Fest 2015.

Who makes our top album releases for October 2020?

All in all, it's been an excellent month for music. In October alone we've seen numerous releases that we're strongly considering for our top 10 albums of the year list, and it seems like 2020 has really made artists want to take us back to a better time. We are more than grateful for that.

The Struts - Strange Days

These glam-rock revivalists have been entertaining us four seven years, but their third album Strange Days is truly something special. They've teamed up with everyone from Robbie Williams to Def Leppard on this charismatic retro album, that may be have a nostalgic sound, but lyrically fits very much into 2020.

It's the final quarter of the year and we are looking at an excellent month of music for October 2020. It's a rich blend of debut releases and albums from more established artists and we know we'll come out of this month with a new contender for album of the year.

Nothing But Thieves are a five piece band from the depths of Southend-on-Sea. They have been around since 2012, but only now are they coming with their self-titled debut album.

Nothing But Thieves - Nothing But Thieves Album Review

'Wake Up Call', the band's first single, had to make an appearance on the debut album and the fact that it was released over a year ago should not detract from it. This is a great song and a was a great introduction to the band and their music.

Conor Mason has a bit of an airy feel to his vocals, which is only elevated during 'Itch'. This track really shows what the band are all about; fiery guitars just blasting out. More tracks like this from these guys will go down a storm. 'If I get High' slows things down somewhat, but again it's the vocals which are the key to this as they gradually builds up and show that these guys are not just a one trick pony.
