The Green Bay Packers quarterback left as a winner after appearing on Tuesday's (12May15) episode of the long-running U.S. programme, raising $50,000 (£31,250) for charity thanks to his trivia knowledge.

But Rodgers tells ESPN.com that he was not even supposed to compete on the show, as Jeopardy! producers originally approached The Newsroom actress for their special celebrity edition.

He says, "She was like, 'I don't really want to do this'. I was like, 'I will do that! Tell your people I will do it!'"

However, Munn did show her support for her beau on Instagram.com, posting a photo of Rodgers after his win against astronaut Mark Kelly and businessman Kevin O'Leary on the Jeopardy! set, along with the caption, "Like. A. BOSS! Congrats to the MACC Fund!"

Rodgers' winnings benefit paediatric cancer organisation Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC).
