One Direction are in talks for their own US TV show.

The boy band impressed bosses at Nickelodeon when they made a recent guest appearance on the programme 'iCarly' and the TV channel is now keen to sign them up for their own show, similar to that of American group Big Time Rush.

A source at the channel told the Daily Star newspaper: ''We'll be having meetings with One Direction when they come back from the Kids Choice Awards later this month. A series is definitely being talked about.''

Singer Harry Styles admitted he and fellow bandmates Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne are shocked by their sudden success In America.

He said: ''We still can't quite believe it all, to be honest. It's sinking in slowly.''

Big Time Rush and One Direction hit it off so well when the British group supported their US counterparts on their North American tour recently that they are planning to collaborate on a new video and hinted they may even record together.

Carlos Penna said: ''We are making a video with One Direction. You never know if there's going to be a single collaboration. We have to leave some mystery.''

Logan Henderson added: ''We've had a really good time with the guys on our tour, they've helped morale.''

Meanwhile, One Direction's Niall has been singing the praises of Big Time Rush's Kendall Schmidt and The Feeling is clearly mutual.

Niall said: ''Kendall is such an inspiration to me. Watching him on stage is so entertaining because you can see that he loves it.''

Kendall added: ''We made a point of hanging out and getting to know them. We have similar senses of humour.''
