Oprah Winfrey is known for her generosity and warm spirit, but when it comes to affordable healthcare for the United State's most needy citizen, it turns out she is as cold hearted as a Republican congressman. At least, that's how it appears on the surface, however the Queen of daytime chat may have another reason for not supporting ObamaCare after all.

Oprah was approached by President Obama to become one of the celebrity spokespersons for ObamaCare, but apparently told the President that she wanted nothing to do with the progressive piece of legislation. A known supporter of President Barrack Obama, Oprah campaigned around the clock during his 2008 election, but it seems that over the years her opinions on the most powerful man on the planet have changed somewhat.

As initially reported by the New York Post, Oprah spurned the chance to join the many celebrities already supporting the Affordable Care Act; a piece of legislation that aims on providing healthcare for the country's most vulnerable and financially challenged citizens. Already, the inclusive bill has gained celebrity backing from Nina Dobrev, Jennifer Hudson and a host of other well-known names, but Oprah wanted nothing to do with the campaign.

"The story of why Oprah has changed her tune and gone AWOL on ObamaCare goes well beyond mere gossip," author Ed Klein wrote in his NY Post article. He went on to say that, following her non-stop endorsement of the president in 2008, "Oprah was promised unique access to the White House if Obama won," however she was never given the amount of security clearance she was promised. This resulted in her backing out of his 2012 re-election campaign and, more recently, has also resulted in her backing out of any further endorsements, such as with ObamaCare.

Oprah is apparently in a feud with Michelle Obama

"She’d get regular briefings on initiatives and a heads-up on programs to give her material for her fledgling cable network, OWN," Klein continued. "It slowly dawned on Oprah that the Obamas had absolutely no intention of keeping their word and bringing her into their confidence.”

Winfrey has gone on to say that she plans on taking a step back from politics to concentrate on her own business ventures, however she did recently back Newark Mayor Cory Booker in his bid for the Senate; which he eventually won on the back of Oprah's support. So this could indicate that there is a rift between the Obamas and Oprah.

Klein's report also goes on to say that the rift is largely down to a feud between Oprah and Michelle Obama, with the First Lady supposedly jealous of her husband's one-time reliance on the talk show host, and Oprah now no longer on speaking terms with Michelle because of this. The article went on to quote an advisor for Oprah, who said that she is "hurt and angry [and] she knows how to hold a grudge."
