Kelly Osbourne Ozzy Osbourne Sharon Osbourne

Kelly Osbourne was locked in a mental institution for three days for her drug and alcohol addiction..

In her new memoir, 'There Is No F***ing Secret: Letters From a Badass B***h', the TV host has revealed that her mother Sharon took the drastic measure to send her to the facility in a desperate bid to get her clean.

The 32-year-old star - whose father Ozzy Osbourne has battled drug and alcohol abuse issues and sex addiction - writes: ''Mum once locked me in a mental institution for three days and it scared the hell out of me ... I had to wear paper shoes, since I could potentially kill myself with a shoelace and wasn't allowed to have anything metal not even a spoon. I was suicidal by medical standards but I heard mum's message loud and clear: stop using drugs before I was gone for good.''

Ozzy Osbourne has reflected upon one of the more bemusing incidents of last night's Grammy Awards. The 65 year-old rock star was tasked with introducing former Beatle Ringo Starr at the glitzy music event in Los Angeles. The Grammys organisers had made it simple for the Black Sabbath frontman: all he had to do was stand on stage with his bandmates and read from a teleprompter.

Ozzy, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler headed to the stage for the introduction and the singer began to read the script. However, Ozzy soon lost pace and jumbled up his words to form an incoherent stream of babble, according to Fox News. Tony and Geezer burst into laughter at their band chum's ineptness but Twitter reactions soon took the shape of a collective eye-roll as exasperated Grammys viewers questioned the rocker's sobriety.

Black Sabbath Score Their First Ever US Number One Album And Another Could Be On Its Way

Black Sabbath Ozzy Osbourne Tony Iommi

Black Sabbath are back, well and truly too, with the Gods of metal scoring their first ever number one album on the US Billboard Chart, with their comeback album 13 shooting to the top of the charts after nearly 50 years of waiting. The album ended a forty plus year wait for band to return to the top of the UK Album charts when it took the top spot last week, but in scoring their first US number one the band have performed quite a remarkable feat.

Upon hearing the news, the active members of the group each issued a statement exclaiming their shock at the success of the album, with guitarist Tony Iommi stating, "The news is absolutely amazing--we couldn't have imagined this would happen. We have the greatest fans," whilst bassist Geezer Butler had this to say; "I'm absolutely stunned. Thank you all world wide for being the best, and most patient, fans ever."

Frontman Ozzy Osbourne was equally as overwhelmed with the success saying; "There have been so many amazing highlights in our long career. To finally have our first #1 album in the U.S. is another incredible milestone for Black Sabbath. Thank you to all of our fans for their support and loyalty."

Was The Daytime Emmys The Worst Live Show Ever?

Carrie Fisher Ozzy Osbourne

Live award shows are about meticulous planning, logistics and practice, but you can’t legislate for individual mistakes. Unfortunately, there were too many individual mistakes to count, culminating in a car crash of an award show, which, in turn, made for pretty funny viewing.

We had Carrie Fisher talking openly about drugs – a bit too openly for some of the audience, award givers reading telecast prompts like “Wrap it up!” instead of actually wrapping it up, and Robin Meade performing a song in an evening gown while barefoot because of an advert break that was too short. It was, all in all, YouTube fodder gold, and we loved it for that. “Hi, I’m Carrie, I’m an alcoholic. And a drug addict,” explained Fisher before announcing the winner of best animated series. “Our nominees take us into worlds we have never seen before,” she said. “Unless, like Ozzy and myself, you have taken acid. We have the same dealer, in which case this category doesn’t apply to you. Our nominees have not taken acid, at least not with me, which really is the only way to do it, as most of you know,” she said and then nodded at the still-seated Lucas, “Right, George?” There sure were some awkward looks for that one.

Akin to the night itself, this piece has focussed on the technical gaffes and not the actual winners, so here they are. “Days of Our Lives,” grabbed the big one: Best Drama, while “CBS News Sunday Morning,” won Best Morning Show, beating “Good Morning America” and “Today.” “Dr. Oz” won in the information talk show category and Doug Davidson won for Best Actor on “The Young and the Restless."

Could ‘13’ Be Black Sabbath's First Number One Album In Over 40 Years?

Black Sabbath Ozzy Osbourne Tony Iommi Liam Gallagher Rick Rubin Rage Against The Machine

Black Sabbath are back and it looks like they're back with a bang too, with the metal overlords looking set to score their first number one on the album chart in 43 years. 13 was released at the beginning of this week and it has been slowly creeping up the charts, and it could have a good chance of reaching the coveted spot by the end of the week. The album - the first to feature the (mostly) original lineup of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler (drummer Burt Ward was forced to sit out the recording process because of health reasons) in 35-years - currently sits at the top of the mid-week charts, however it cannot officially claim to be an official number one until the end of the week. With no real threat in the charts to challenge it for the top spot - bar Liam Gallagher’s Beady Eye perhaps - so it looks like the band may be on to recreate the feat their 1970 album Paranoid.

The album was produced by acclaimed Def Jam co-founder Rick Rubin and features Rage Against The Machine’s Brad Wilkes sitting in for Ward, and critics are hailing the album as a return to the doom-laded guitar riffs of the band's classic albums from the 70's. Frontman Osbourne declared his surprise at the album's success earlier today, saying “I can’t believe Black Sabbath may have its first number one album in 43 years.”

The band will continue their world tour in support of the album over the rest of the year, having already played in New Zealand, Australia and parts of Asia. The tour reaches London's O2 Arena in December and will arrive at Houston's Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion on July 25.

Black Sabbath's Geezer Butler Hints At Another New Album From The Band

Black Sabbath Ozzy Osbourne

Black Sabbath made their monumental return to the studio to record their first album with an almost entirely original line-up (drummer Bill Ward was not present for recording because of health problems) since 1978's Never Say Die, with 13 being released later this month.

Confident from how things went this time round, bassist Geezer Butler has now said that despite it taking some 35 years for the group to record their new album together, the band could be persuaded to go back to the studio much sooner this time around. Although touted as the 'final' album from the band following a string of successful reunion shows over the past year, Geezer was speaking with Billboard this week when he revealed that, like the title of the 1978 album, that he is holding on to a 'never say never' resolution as to where the metal founders might go next.

"Let's put it this way; it's taken us 35 years to do this one," Butler told Billboard, adding, "So if there's gonna be (another) album there's gonna be an album but I don't want to say if there's going to be a follow-up. I wouldn't mind doing another Sabbath album with them, though."

£2 Million Salary - Has Sharon Osbourne Just Landed Record-Breaking X Factor Role?

Sharon Osbourne Ozzy Osbourne The X Factor

Sharon Osbourne’s private life may well be in turmoil but she doesn’t seem to be allowing it to affect her career as the Daily Mail reports today that she’s reportedly landed a £2 million deal to return to x factor in the UK. If the reports are accurate, it will mean that not only will Osbourne return to the show, after leaving in 2007, but she will become the highest paid judge in the show’s history.

It is thought that the show’s creator, Simon Cowell, is ‘desperate’ to have Sharon return to the show to boost ratings, which have been steadily dropping in the last two years. Although Sharon has made a number of guest apperances on the show since she left – namely at Louis Walsh’s house in the ‘judges’ houses’ rounds, this will be the first time in six years that she’s actually been one of the official judges. Known for her no-nonsense approach, Cowell is clearly looking to shake up the line-up on the panel.

Recently, it has been reported that Sharon Osbourne’s marriage to husband Ozzy Osbourne (the Black Sabbath singer) is on the rocks. Ozzy made a public announcement that his addiction to drink and drugs has reared its head again and has taken its toll on their marriage. Regardless, both Sharon and Ozzy seem to remain focused on their careers, with Ozzy about to embark on a tour with Sabbath and Sharon apparently planning a return to the high profile TV show.

Sharon Osbourne 911 Tape Reveals Ozzy Rant During House Fire

Sharon Osbourne Ozzy Osbourne

The Sharon Osbourne 911 tape that was released in February has now been listened to again in light of rocker husband Ozzy Osbourne's recent confession that he has been taking drugs again.

Rumours that the Osbourne couple, who famously broadcasted their family affairs in the MTV reality show 'The Osbournes' in 2002, are set to divorce after more than 30 years of marriage have been circling like wildfire around the internet over the past few weeks. And talking of wildfire, new evidence suggests there might be more to that blaze that took place at their home in January 2013. TMZ released Sharon's 911 tape from the incident in February in which we hear her breathlessly asking for the fire department to be called to the house. 'We had a fire in my room it was a candle. Do you think you could send a fireman? My husband put it out but I just want to be sure', she explained before later adding, rather sharply, 'It set the table it was on on fire.' On re-listening, Ozzy can be heard shouting what sounds like it could be an obscenity incoherently in the background as Sharon takes her time to speak to emergency services.

This and the fact that he has addressed the rumours on his Facebook page with the following message: 'For the last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober. Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing', suggests that there could've been something else going on that night as Ozzy is well known for acting erratically and often dangerously under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

Could This Spell Trouble For Ozzy? Black Sabbath North American Tour Dates Announced

Black Sabbath Ozzy Osbourne

North American Tour Dates Announced For Troubled Ozzy Osbourne’s Black Sabbath Is this really a good idea for Ozzy? As rumours of a split between Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon gradually seem to carry more weight, the Black Sabbath singer now needs to prepare to go on tour. Reports have suggested that Ozzy and Sharon’s split is down to his substance addictions; surely going on tour with his rock band isn’t the best place for getting over such problems?

Luckily for Ozzy, he currently only has four dates to contend with, they’re not until August and they’re spread out across the course of a month so hopefully he’ll be able to keep himself out of trouble. The band also have a new album planned, entitled 13, according to Rolling Stone magazine, so presumably, they’ll be busy doing promo work for that in between the live dates. The album’s planned for release on June 11th and is the band’s first with Ozzy Osbourne since 1978’s Never Say Die! 13 is produced by Rick Rubin and contains eight new tracks. The lead track, ‘End of the Beginning,’ will debut on the season finale of CSI.

Last year, the band was forced to postpone a planned tour when their guitarist Tony Iommi was diagnosed with early stage lymphoma. Since he underwent treatment, the band have booked shows in Europe, Australia Japan and New Zealand.

Sharon Osbourne 911 Tape: Could This Be Why They Split Up?

Sharon Osbourne Ozzy Osbourne

A bit of celebrity drama always helps the day move along, but Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne’s marital strife looks too serious to be entertaining, especially after the Sharon Osbourne 911 tape was leaked. According to a report by TMZ, the recording from 4.45AM on January 17 this year features a less than coherent Ozzy Osbourne and a frantic Sharon, asking for help after an unattended candle lit a table at their home on fire. This was during the time when Ozzy was still abusing drugs and alcohol, before his 45 days and counting sobriety streak.

Apparently, in the tape, Sharon sounds like the one who was caught unawares by the fire. Additionally, Ozzy reportedly doesn’t sound like himself. The situation prompted a lot of speculation from various media sources, but in reality, very little is known for certain, even with the evidence on the tape. The candle accident may or may not have had something to do with the couple’s separation, but according to Sharon’s statements, Ozzy’s addiction certainly did. In fact, the reality star has set an ultimatum for her rockstar husband – she will only take him back after he’s been clean for months. And after a year and a half of substance abuse, the condition seems completely reasonable.

Into The Void: Ozzy Osbourne Has Been On Drink And Drugs For 18 Months

Ozzy Osbourne Sharon Osbourne Kelly Osbourne Jack Osbourne Black Sabbath

Ozzy Osbourne has admitted bingeing on drink and drugs for the last 18 months, following news that he has separated from wife Sharon. The British singer released a statement on his Facebook page, revealing that he's been in a "very dark place" and apologizing to his family.

"Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing," Osbourne, 64, said, "I'm just trying to be a better person." The lead singer of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath - who will tour in the UK later this year, said he had been drinking and taking drugs for the last year and a half though has been sober for 44 days. "I would like to apologize to Sharon, my family, my friends," added the rocker, before saying he'd behaved like "an asshole" to the people he loved the most.

Though Ozzy was one of the world's most recognizable rockers, he and his somewhat dysfunctional family gained worldwide fame after starring in their own MTV reality show 'The Osbournes,' which gave an insight into their family life in Beverly Hills. Since then, Sharon has judged and hosted numerous reality shows, Kelly has forged a career in fashion criticism, and Jack has remained on television. Ozzy has kept a relatively low profile in comparison.

Osbourne Split Rumor - “The Reality Show Was All Sharon’s Idea” Says Ozzy

Ozzy Osbourne Sharon Osbourne

It was reported yesterday, in the wake of the Osbourne split rumor, that Sharon Osbourne had moved into a new Beverly Hills mansion, away from her husband Ozzy, just days after being pictured without her wedding band on.

Today, the Black Sabbath frontman confirms their troubles, talking to The Sun. Ozzy admitted: “Sharon’s obsessed with that showbiz lifestyle. But it’s not for me. Leave me out of it. And Sharon’s always introducing me to people I don’t know or want to meet. The reality show was all Sharon’s idea. I never wanted to do all that TV stuff.” The Osbournes followed the whole family in their home, filming all their intimate moments. Looking back, it’s increasingly obvious that Ozzy had no clue what was going on 90% of the time. “I was TV mogul of the day with that show and I became this thing I didn’t really want to be,” he added. “People were recognising me on the streets and it wasn’t right. I once had a man come up to me and say ‘I don’t think you should speak to your wife like that.’ I didn’t know him but he’d seen the show. I can’t stand seeing myself on TV. I never watched a single episode of The Osbournes."

It is unusual to not even have dinner together when both of them are five minutes apart." Another source had plenty to say to The Mirror, too; this time about their financial woes. “The financial situation has been a real burden for them both and has put huge strain on them. These were big bills, and it has been very difficult for both of them.” There’s no shortage of clues in this supposed divorce. 35 Years Later Black Sabbath Are Back In The Studio

Black Sabbath Ozzy Osbourne Rick Rubin

Black Sabbath have revealed that they are recording their first album together with original members for the first time since 1978's Never Say Die, with the album set to be titled 13.

Three of the original four members - Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler - have been in the studio recording the long awaited album for the past few months, enlisting the help of Rage Against The Machine drummer Brad Wilk on drums to stand in for Bill Ward. Unfortunately health problems have plagued Ward and as such, with a heavy heart, the band have had to continue without him. Iommi assessed the situation with Ward in November last year, telling Blaring Out magazine: "We'll always have a heart for Bill, but I think it's gone past that now, because it's gone on so long I don't see that happening at the moment."

In the interview, Iommi also revealed that the album will be 15 tacks long and it has also been revealed that the album was produced by the legendary Rick Rubin, who has worked with such artists as System of a Down, Jay Z, Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, Metallica and Johnny Cash. On top of this, the band have also announced a number of tour dates for the near future, in Australia, New Zealand and Japan's Ozzfest, and are expected to extend these dates as well as perform on the festival circuit.

Lemmy Review

Extraordinary
'Lemmy' is the biographical documentary film of one Ian Kilmister, legendary rock'n'roller and leader of Motorhead. Apparently 2 years in the making the film runs the whole gamut charting his early days in North Wales, hitchhiking to The Cavern to see The Beatles through to moving to London to roadie for Jimi Hendrix. From then he joined Hawkwind and later went on to form Motorhead and concludes with Lemmy in his current abode in Los Angeles where he now resides and has done for several years.

Despite making some of the most uncompromising music of the last 30 years, Motorhead for some strange reason, cross all boundaries. This is undoubtedly down to the enduring appeal of Lemmy - a man who's stuck to his guns and done things on his own terms to the point where he has just ended up being accepted.

Which gives credence to the fact that If you spend long enough doing something and which such conviction, people will eventually come round to your way of thinking. As a rock 'n' roll icon his influence has touched almost everyone who is anyone and the most surprising thing of all about this documentary is the sheer breadth of people who have fallen under his influence. The usual rock crowd is to be expected. Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana), Metallica etc but its appearances of others such as Jarvis Cocker, Peter Hook (Joy Division), Mick Jones (The Clash), Marky Ramone (The Ramones) and Billy Bob Thornton that most surprise.

Little Nicky Review

Terrible

Having now seen "Little Nicky," in which Adam Sandler plays the retarded son of Satan, I have formulated a hypothesis I'm calling the Sandler Theory of Exponentially Obnoxious Returns. It goes something like this:

Adam Sandler goes out of his way to make each gimmick character he plays ("Billy Madison," "Happy Gilmore") more grating than the last, just to see how far he can push it before his easily amused fan base will turn on him.

His most detestable character to date had been "The Waterboy," but that Southern-fried dope was mister congeniality compared to Nicky, the little devil that couldn't. Sandler spends this entire movie with his face screwed up in a hit-by-a-shovel grimace and speaking in a silly, raspy voice like a little kid pretending to be sick so he can stay home from school. There's no joke here. It's just Sandler's version of stretching as an actor.

Austin Powers In Goldmember Review

Weak

The cameo-driven, "Mission: Impossible 2"-spoofing, movie-within-a-movie, pre-title sequence of "Austin Powers in Goldmember" is the funniest five minutes to date in this spy comedy franchise. Then Mike Myers shows up and ruins everything.

Still trapped in a skit-comedy frame of mind all these years after leaving "Saturday Night Live," his short attention span has made the "Austin Powers" movies little more than a string of brief, loosely-related set pieces which are often 98 percent setup and 2 percent punch line.

Myers goes miles out of his way to make a reference to the 1983 song "Mr. Roboto" by the band Styx, for example. Then he spends nebulously unfunny gaps between such gags to make fleeting mentions of the plot, which in this case concerns Dr. Evil -- Myers cueball goofball homage to James Bond's maniacal bald nemesis Blofeld -- teaming up with an scabby Dutch roller-disco owner named Goldmember whom Evil has transported from the 1970s.
