Singers Patti Labelle and Mary J. Blige will be among the divas honouring Chaka Khan when the singer is inducted into New York's Apollo Theater Hall of Fame.

The I'm Every Woman hitmaker will be feted during a special ceremony in Harlem on 10 June (13) and former inductee LaBelle and Blige, who won a Grammy Award with Khan in 2008 for their hit duet Disrespectful, have been selected to lead the celebration.

The soul star joins a long list of previous honourees who have also received the prestigious distinction, among them Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Aretha Franklin.
