Picture the scene if you will. It's Christmas Eve. The kids are going crazy, running around, watching the skies. You've just poured yourself another brandy and, oh look, One Chance is just about to start on BBC1. You know, the Paul Potts movie with that fella from Gavin & Stacey in it.

It's going to happen. The movie - which hits cinemas in the UK on Friday (October 18, 2013) - is likely to become one of the festive feel-good movies that all the family can sit down and enjoy.

It stars James Corden as Potts, a bullied shop assistant by day and amateur opera singer by night. UK audiences will be familiar with the story. Potts became an instant singing phenomenon after appearing on Simon Cowell's ITV show Britain's Got Talent.

Paul Potts Movie: It's "Very Straightforward" - James Cordon Can't Sing Opera, So He Didn't

It turns out, James Corden isn’t a world-class opera singer, so his turn as Paul Potts in the upcoming feel good movie One Chance doesn’t feature his voice, no; that’s Paul Potts you can hear. Anyone surprised?

James CordenCorden - He can sing, but not that well guys!

“It was very, very straightforward – I would pretend to be singing opera, and then Paul would go into the studio and loop to my mouth,” Corden revealed. “I hope I haven’t given it away too much, but that’s basically what happened.”

Taylor Swift Rubs Shoulders With Paul Potts At 'Britain's Got Talent' Movie

At the premiere of Paul Potts: One Chance, there were more than a few famous faces present on the red carpet, however none turned quite so many heads as pop and country sensation Taylor Swift, who managed to take most of the attention away from the film's base character, Paul Potts, thanks largely to her celebrity aura.

But Taylor wasn't there to steal the show, she was there to see the man who inspired the movie, the man she was so impressed with that she even penned him a song (and he didn't even have to break up with her to get it).

Pudsey: The Movie - Now With Added Simon Cowell, As Producer

It looks as though Simon Cowell is pursuing a new career as a movie producer. The talent show creator has reportedly signed on to co-produce a movie about the dog that won Britain’s Got Talent. Pudsey: The Movie looks set to make Pudsey super-famous (as if performing a version of Psy’s ‘Gangnam Style’ at tonight’s National Television Awards wasn’t enough for the charismatic pooch).

A report from The Metro suggests that Simon Cowell’s company Syco Entertainment is teaming up with Vertigo Films on the production. If all goes to plan, Pudsey could soon be as famous as Uggie, the cute canine from the Oscar-winning movie The Artist. Pudsey’s such a star already, of course, that he has his own manager, Jonathan Shalit, or Roar Global, who said “The British people love Pudsey. He has met the Queen and was invited to 10 Downing Street by the Prime Minister. This represents a hugely exciting next step.” It’s not clear what the plot of the movie is going to entail but it sounds as though everyone is keen to get the ball rolling and shooting is due to start in Spring.

Pudsey, along with the help of his trainer Ashleigh Butler, won Britain’s Got Talent last year and they went on to appear on Jay Leno’s chat show and on America’s Got Talent. This isn’t Cowell’s only foray into production; he’s also got his hand in Morgan Spurlock’s One Direction documentary and David Frankel’s Paul Potts biopic, One Chance.
