Doctor Who himself Peter Capaldi and series creator Steven Moffatt will attending the Doctor Who Festival at ExCel, London, in November. The pair say they will be giving away "backstage secrets."

The sci-fi festival - held between November 13-15 - will offer fans the chance the see how the show is created as well as getting up close to series eight and nine props. They will also be able to interact with Doctor Who himself and the show's creator.

Capaldi said: "If having the world's favourite Time Lord back on screen every week isn't enough for you (and it's not for me) then The Doctor Who Festival in London is the place to be. I'll be heading there in November to join the fun and if it's anything like the 50th anniversary event, then prepare yourself for total Time Lord mania"

Fans will also be able to explore the sets used in the current incarnation of the show, which stars Capaldi and Jenna-Louise Colman.

Moffatt said: "I can't believe we're going to give away our secrets! This is the closest you could possibly get to finding out what happens on set and how this magical show is put together."

Tickets for the Doctor Who festival start at £30 for children and £65 for adults.

The news comes in the same week that the BBC announced the world of Doctor Who will be included in LEGO Dimensions, the forthcoming game that merges physical bring buildings with interactive console gameplay.
