| The pink panther film collection - limited edition is a very nice box set, the six-disc set, includes five films and one disc of extra features. At last, I thought, the complete Pink Panther box set available to enjoy on DVD! I should have read the small print! This is not the complete set as the Return of the Pink Panther is missing. OK so they do not claim that it is the 'complete' Pink Panther collection but you would make that assumption wouldn't you? I did, more fool me. Still it is great to see these films on DVD in a collection but without Return of the Pink Panther it is not a true collection. As for the films that are included, wonderful- this classic humour is timeless and I loved every minute. The only real disappointment is 'Trail of the Pink Panther' a post Sellers' demise effort with over an hour's worth of clips from earlier films. The special features disc is worth watching with some interesting documentary footage and some great cartoons. The eight page booklet will be treasured by true Sellers fans. If you really like Peter Seller's work, and especially Pink Panther, you must absolutely buy this dvd box set! |
