Phil Collins' actress daughter Lily is to play Snow White opposite Julia Roberts in cult director Tarsem Singh's quirky take on the classic fairytale.
The Blind Side actress is slated to start shooting the film next month (May11), and she admits the role is a dream come true.
Announcing the big casting news at the WonderCon comic book and movie convention in San Francisco, California, she says, "Snow White was my favourite fairytale, and when I first read about the project, I was like, 'I have to get in on this.'"
And director Tarsem admits he knew she was the girl to play Snow White when he first saw her eyebrows: "When I saw her I just said, 'She doesn't even have to try at all.'"
Collins has become quite the in-demand actress - she has reportedly beaten out Roberts' niece, Emma, for the coveted role of Stormy Llewellyn in the movie adaptation of Dean Koontz's Odd Thomas.
Julia Roberts will play the Evil Queen in the fairytale retelling - one of two major Snow White movie projects.
The second, Snow White and the Huntsman, stars Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen and Kristen Stewart as the beloved princess.
