Purple Rain and Las Vegas - Thursday 30th October 2008

Let's Go Crazy! A sexy stripper performing as pint-sized pop star Prince is wowing burlesque fans in Los Angeles. Stunning Lux Lacroix, a huge fan of the Purple Rain hitmaker, donned a Prince costume, wig and moustache to strut her stuff at the 2008 Miss Exotic World Pageant in Las Vegas in June (08). Her showstopping performance earned the burlesque newcomer her first runner-up prize, and inspired her to get freaky as Prince again and again. Lacroix, who styled her look on a detailed Prince photo a museum in the hitmaker's hometown of Minneapolis sent her, has been the highlight act at this week's (28-30Oct08) Lucha Va Voom spectacular in Los Angeles, and now she's taking her stunning act to San Francisco, California next month (Nov08) for another Lucha show at the Warfield. That's if Prince lets her. She chuckles, I love the guy but I'm not sure he'd love me or what I do with his act. I wake up every day expecting to get a cease and desist letter from his lawyers. I can only imagine that he doesn't know of me or my Prince act yet. Lacroix, an established dancer and choreographer in Los Angeles, really does look just like Prince when she steps up on stage to his Let's Go Crazy tune, wearing styled black trousers, boots, purple jacket and ruffled white shirt. Burlesque fans always double take her as she performs using all of Prince's Purple Rain-era dance moves. But underneath, Lacroix is all woman - a fact that's clear as she tears off her trousers and shirt to reveal pasties, tassels and the skimpiest stage costume. But she keeps the wig - and the moustache! What a Sexy MF! She says, I'm told it's a very sexy act, a real turn on. My boyfriend thinks it's rather interesting. So does this Princess take the costume home for a little Controversy in the bedroom? No, these are my work clothes. Los Angeles, California - 30.10.08 (11 images)
