Leona's wild birthday with dwarf lookalikes, drag homages and secret tunnel party - Thursday 3rd April 2014

Leona Lewis celebrated her birthday by dancing the night away with Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, a morbidly obese clown and a strongman... well, nearly. The X Factor winner headed to London's A-List haunt, Cirque le Soir for her 29th birthday, and was greeted at the door by another of Cowell's proteges - Chrissy Darling, from Britain's Got Talent stars Club Town Freaks, whose entire outfit was themed around the singer's biggest hit, Bleeding Love. Once inside, the night became even more bizarre, as the club laid on DWARFS dressed as Leona and Simon Cowell to present her with a three-tiered cake, festooned in sparklers. The mini lookalikes - dubbed Si-mini Cowell, Lou-wee Walsh and Wee-ona Lewis - headed up a gang of performers who kept the star and her friends entertained in their own VIP area as they glugged Dom Perignon champagne and Ciroc vodka cocktails. An onlooker said: "Leona and her friends were all getting into the spirit of the night by wearing elaborate headpieces and dancing on the tables as a steady stream of circus performers strutted their stuff in front of them. "They started off with a pair of contortionists, before break dancers, cross-dressers and even a giant all came out to wish her happy birthday. "And she was amazed when a strong-man folded a frying pan in front of her eyes, before bending a thick iron bar into a heart shape and presenting it to her as a gift." Leona and her gang spent hours exploring the club's £500,000 'frat party house' installation, which was created to celebrate the brand's fourth anniversary, by diving into the ball pit where her friend, Rita Ora had been photographed the night before, and marking the evening with scores of pictures in the club's photo booth. The temporary redesign, which saw the entire club transformed to look like a house, complete with a garage, kitchen, lounge and back yard, was launched in mid-March with a performance by hip-hop legend Rick Ross and was supposed to finish two weeks later, but wa - London United Kingdom - Thursday 3rd April 2014 (2 images)
