An opera version of Pink Floyd's classic album The Wall is to debut in the U.S. next year (18).
Another Brick in the Wall: The Opera will be staged at the Cincinnati Music Hall in Ohio, as part of the venue's 98th season.
Etienne Dupuis will reprise his role as Pink, the rock star he originated in the Another Brick in the Wall: L'Opera production, which premiered in Canada on Saturday (11Mar17).
Roger Waters, the band's founder, was in attendance for the premiere in Montreal and earlier this month (Mar17) he explained he was "moved" after hearing the music from the opera.
"It had been my experience that experiments in collaboration between the worlds of rock and roll and the worlds of symphonic music were generally disastrous and should be embarked upon with extreme trepidation," he said. "I sat there not expecting to be moved, and I was moved."
