The eagerly anticipated Glastonbury 2016 line-up continues to unfold as PJ Harvey is announced as the Other Stage headliner on Sunday evening - facing Coldplay on the Pyramid Stage and complimenting Jeff Lynne’s ELO, performing in the Sunday afternoon ‘legends’ slot.

PJ Harvey will be taking to the muddy fields for her first Glasto performance in 12 years after she took to the stage at the iconic festival in 2004.

Organiser Emily Eavis tweeted the news this morning and said: "Very excited to say that PJ Harvey is coming back to Glastonbury for the first time since 2004, playing the Other Stage on Sunday."

PJ Harvey is the only artist ever to win the Mercury prize twice and is due to release her ninth album in April.

The Hope Six Demolition Project has been influenced by time she spent in Kosovo and Afghanistan and was recorded as part of a Recording in Process project that allowed the public to watch her and the studio engineers at work.

Eavis also revealed to Metro.co.uk that three British bands are headlining which puts acts such as Radiohead and Muse in the frame but sadly moves out Foo Fighters who many were hoping would perform after their last minute cancellation last year.
