Brolin Releases New Track 'You' And Announces Spring 2014 Live Shows

Following the release earlier this month of his new mixtape Flags, UK based artist Brolin today releases You, the first full track taken from the release. Written in collaboration with up-and-coming Hamburg producer Hannes Rasmus, You, is an update of Hannes' track Wir sind hier nicht in Detroit, Dirk; which originally appeared via NOTOWN Recordings, Gold Panda's label, in the spring of last year. Now with Brolin's vocal contribution, the track is an undulating analogue-driven creation full of seductive builds and crescendos.

The track is embellished via a particularly unique video clip. The full Flags mixtape features production from the likes of FTSE, Raffertie, Casually Here and Dam Mantle.

Brolin has also added a rare handful of upcoming live shows this spring, full details below.

Flags follows a successful 2013 for Brolin, which saw the release of the critically acclaimed EP Cundo, and a slew of remixes for Post War Years, Chloe Howl and Lulu James, collaborations with South London Ordnance and Peaking Lights, debut shows in Stockholm, Milan, Berlin and Brussels, and a UK tour with Gold Panda.

Flags was produced over the last two months of 2013, and gives a tantalizing taste of Brolin's eagerly anticipated debut album, due in the autumn of 2014. Speaking about the release, Brolin said "I wanted to release something of substance, in a continuous, flowing format with visual accompaniment, and Flags has allowed me to collaborate with some exceptional producers, contributing different moods and colours. With the sheer volume of new music being missed by listeners, 8 new tracks in 25 minutes will hopefully encourage a more full, immersive experience. The Sorcerer's Apprentice in Fantasia was one inspiration, as it grips the viewer throughout... I hope to emulate that. .
