Jack And Eliza To Release Debut Ep 'No Wonders' September 23rd Plus Stream The Track 'Hold The Line' [Listen]

New York City duo Jack + Eliza will release their debut EP No Wonders on September 23rd via Yebo Music in digital and 10" vinyl formats. The No Wonders EP was produced by Chris Zane (The Walkmen, Mumford & Sons, Passion Pit) and is suffuse with the effortlessness of youth, captured in ephemeral moments through a melodious and sun-drenched pop sound with a high lonesome lilt. Jack + Eliza will play select dates this summer and fall surrounding the release of the EP, including a show this Friday, July 25th at Littlefield in Brooklyn, NY as part of Destination Moon.

Having only released one other single ("Hold The Line") until today, Jack + Eliza have already drawn a healthy smattering of positive attention for their songwriting.  "An exuberance of youthful energy is captured with little more than bright, clean guitar tones and the occasional tambourine chime," wrote Consequence of Sound, while Brooklyn Vegan found much to admire in their "winsome pop", comparing Jack + Eliza to the Beach Boys and Everly Brothers. Impose Magazine were taken by the "sweet, tranquil, tragic, and triumphant (with a dash of melancholy for good measure, why not) that plays about between [their] duets".

But perhaps the most ringing endorsement has come from the music fans who so far have streamed "Hold The Line" on SoundCloud 60,000+ times in little over a month. A significant feat for a brand new band.

Growing up in NYC as childhood friends, and now musical collaborators, Jack + Eliza have a beyond-their-years sensibility that belies their relatively young age. Eliza first showcased this talent publicly when she became the youngest ever winner of the prestigious  John Lennon Songwriting Contest "Song of The Year" award at just 15 in 2011. When she and Jack began writing together the results were serendipitous, each amplifying the strengths and creativity of the other. On No Wonders, Their voices to coalesce into a sparse landscape of melancholy memories, narrating a bittersweet nostalgia built on radiant layers of sound.

Upcoming show dates:
7/25 - Brooklyn, NY -  Destination Moon at Littlefield
7/29 - Cambridge, MA - TT The Bear's
8/23 - Brooklyn, NY - Glasslands w/ Ski Lodge
