K Announce Debut Album 'Rise' Released Summer 2013

Born out of the ashes of Larrikin Love, The Treatment and Marner Brown, K are set to release their first single 'Too Young to Die', [1st April] with their debut album 'RISE' following in the Summer. The band funded the making of the album through fan-driven music label PledgeMusic. Respected for the power of their live shows and addictive songs, they look set for great things in 2013.

The album was recorded in The Charlatans' Big Mushroom studios with renowned producer Jim Spencer (Oasis, New Order, The Vaccines), following a personal recommendation from The Charlatans' very own Jon Brookes.

Between them the boys have supported and played alongside the likes of Ocean Colour Scene, The Kooks, The Zutons, Pete Doherty, Elbow and Kasabian to name but a few. They've received high praise from Ronnie Wood and were also granted the privilege of Paul Weller's Black Barn studios after he saw them at the Hard Rock Calling show in London.

In October 2012 they signed a partnership deal with Alfa Romeo after they were booked to play alongside Steve Cradock (Ocean Colour Scene) and Tim Burgess & Marc Collins (The Charlatans) on the Alfa Romeo stage at Goodwood Festival.
The album has everything, from stomping rock 'n' roll sing-a-longs - including 'Too Young to Die' - to the accidental late night studio jam 'Rise' with its filthy throbbing bass line through to the tear jerking 'Tell It Like It Is' and the beautifully haunting album closer 'Save Me'.

There's a yawning gap crying out for the next great British rock 'n' roll band; it's got K written all over it.
