Move Music Festival Announces First 50 Acts For 2014

The MOVE Music Festival, presented by Indian Ledge Music Group and Avid Entertainment, will make an extended return to New York's capital city in April 2014. The festival, now in its third year, will consist of approximately 100 bands performing at ten venues across Albany. It will take place over three days, and will include live music showcases and industry panels from April 25th-April 27th.

The festival highlights a musical renaissance for Albany, a city that has traditionally been thought of as merely a northern neighbor to NYC's arts and music scene. New and exciting bands are popping up throughout the capital region. Music venues are thriving. People in surrounding towns and cities are making the trek to Albany to watch and listen as the city's music develops. The MOVE Music Festival is at the forefront of this budding scene, as it features several bands from Albany and the surrounding area.

In addition, the following bands will take over Albany: The Big Takeover, Bastinado, Shinobi Ninja, Margo Macero, Titanics, Goodbyemotel, The Show, Bong Hits for Jesus, Stellar Young, Predator Dub Assassins, Dead Leaf Echo, Party Boat, Gusto, Fiction for Bandits, Jocelyn Arndt, The Racer, Lost in Society, Scary Americans, Bridgette Guerrette,The Warp/The Weft, Digital Dharma, Parker Ainsworth, Twin Berlin, John Scarpulla, Psymon Spine, The Quick and the Dead, Deadpan Smile, Sheen, Aiur, Rachel Ann Weiss, Erin Harkes Band, Black Mountain Symphony, Bear Grass, Beaked Whale, Boyk!ller, Durians, Black Eskimo, Faith Ziegler, The Slaughterhouse Chorus, Linear North, Blackbutton, Palemen, Carl Daniels, Brian Lapoint and Myron James.
