Speculation that Prince will headline the Glastonbury 2014 line-up reached fever pitch on Tuesday, when the Purple Rain singer refused to deny the rumours at a special press conference held in the living room of singer Lianne La Havas.

PrincePrince To Headline Glastonbury 2014?

Prince was non-committal when asked by BBC6 Music's Matt Everitt whether he was playing the famous Pilton festival, replying, "(I'm) concentrating on these shows in London, I don't know what's happening after." When pushed on whether he could rule out the slot, Prince gave a definitive, "No," adding, "We'll work our way up, if people like us, to bigger venues."

After performing several songs in La Havas's house, Prince and his band 3RDEYEGIRL took to the stage at Camden's Electric Ballroom, entertaining the crowd with a mix of new songs and fan-favorites.

Arcade Fire are the only headline confirmed for Glastonbury, though Prince's inclusion in the line-up has been the subject of constant speculation for months. With a new album set for release this year, Elbow could also form a major part of the line-up though it remains to be seen whether Emily Eavis considers the Mancunians headline material.

According to the usually reliable eFestivals website, Klaxons and the Manic Street Preachers are set to be confirmed for Glastonbury slots, while Pixies are likely to headline the Other Stage.
