R+B star R Kelly has received some good news amid his ongoing child pornography case - his seventh album has debuted at number one in America.

The album, TP.3 RELOADED, sold a surprising 491,000 copies in its first week on release to topple country star GEORGE STRAIT's SOMEWHERE DOWN IN TEXAS.

Kelly is currently awaiting a pre-trial hearing for allegedly having sex with a minor and filming it.

Missy Elliott is a very distant second in the new chart - her sixth album, THE COOKBOOK, debuts at number two with 176,000 copies sold.
