This end of 2013 has seen producer and renowned remixer RAC making a name as a successful artist in his own right. His debut Don't Talk To EP consisting of four original tracks entered the US iTunes Electronic Chart at #2 and the Top 200 Album Chart at #30 back in Oct.
Coming off the back of a sold-out ten date US tour which has seen audiences dancing ecstatically and singing back lyrics, on December 3rd and 4th RAC will be playing two exclusive London DJ dates at White Heat and Birthdays, respectively. Spinning alongside longtime collaborator and venerable remixer in his own rights Karl Kling, these offer a first opportunity to catch his patented dancefloor magic at work. Further live dates in the UK and Europe with a full band are due to follow at the beginning of next year.
With this comes a remix of EP lead single 'Let Go' (feat. Kele and MNDR) from DFA mainstays Holy Ghost!.
RAC is primarily known for remixes, over 200 in fact. It started with an ambitious goal to change the way things were remixed. Taking the focus away from danceability and attempting different and interesting arrangements. He's topped Hype Machine 22 times and has reworked tracks by everyone from Radiohead and Yeah Yeah Yeahs to Lana Del Rey and Kings of Leon. even Bob Marley.
The four electro-pop gems on the Don't Talk To EP were co-written and co-produced by Andre and feature guest appearances from Penguin Prison ("Hollywood"), Tokyo Police Club ("Tourist"), and Katie Herzig ("We Belong").
RAC's debut album is set to follow in 2014.
