Rachel Weisz loved performing her own stunts for 'Oz the Great and Powerful'.

The 43-year-old actress had to work on tricky wire stunts for her role as Evanora, the Wicked Witch of the East, in the new movie and while she doesn't believe she has a talent for stunts, Rachel enjoyed the challenge.

She told Us Weekly: ''I actually liked being up there. It was a little scary the first day but luckily we had experts up there showing us what to do. I'm not physically gifted in any way.''

Director Sam Raimi claims he was very conscious of making his prequel tie in with the 1939 classic, without trying to recreate the Judy Garland-fronted movie.

He explained: ''We tried to not recreate the original Victor Flemming classic 'The Wizard Of Oz' because it's my favourite movie of all time, and this movie is also based on [L.] Frank Baum's works, but it's really this journey that took place before 'The Wizard of Oz'.

''It's about who the wizard was back in Kansas, how he has a little bit of a selfish heart and how once he gets to the land of Oz that heart would be able to grow and how he became a full human being.''
