Radiohead's Philip Selway and Ringo Starr has got to be one of the coolest live collaborations this year - and there have been quite a few. They performed a rendition of 'With a Little Help From My Friends' during Ringo's New York show earlier this week.

The drummer and the former Beatle united for a performance of the 1967 Beatles number from their 'Yellow Submarine' album on Wednesday night (November 15th 2017) at the Beacon Theatre in New York City as part of the Ringo Starr All Starr Band tour dates.

Selway was taking over from All Starr Band drummer Gregg Bissonette. It was the penultimate song, with the show closing with John Lennon's 'Give Peace a Chance'. Plus, the show was also the penultimate one of the North American tour, with the band wrapping the following night at New Jersey's Performing Arts Center in Newark.

Ringo released his nineteenth solo studio album 'Give More Love' in September this year, featuring the single 'We're On the Road Again'. It was recorded at both Roccabella West in Los Angeles and Fred's Kitchen in Stockholm, with Ringo himself credited as the producer.

Meanwhile, Philip released his own third solo album entitled 'Let Me Go' through Bella Union. It's the soundtrack to the film of the same name; a World War II thriller written and directed by the award-winning Polly Steele ('Lena: The Bride of Ice') and based on the life story of Helga Schneider who is the daughter of a former SS guard.

Philip's next live show is the Tae Sup Wi' A Fifer event at the Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy, Scotland on November 25th 2017.
