Rancid frontman Tim Armstrong compares the end of his marriage to wife BRODY to "a nice big scab" - and feels nothing but hate for the man who destroyed his marital ties.

The bitter FALL BACK DOWN performer admits he burst into floods of tears when he saw incriminating photos in ROLLING STONE magazine of his THE DISTILLERS singer wife smooching Queens Of The Stone Age guitarist JOSH HOMME.

Referring to constant press intrusion over his failed marriage, Armstrong mutters, "Now, there's a nice big scab, let's tear it off and see how raw the wound looks."

Recalling the moment he saw the revealing pictures, he continues, "I dropped the magazine and started crying. Because it didn't really occur to me.

"I'd heard the rumours but it didn't really make sense. I didn't really believe it. I hate that guy. I can't tell you how much I hate that guy. Hate isn't a strong enough word for how I feel about him.

"Someone said to me, 'You shouldn't hate.' Hate? That guy is getting off easy with the word hate. He should be pleased with the word hate."
