Rashida Jones reminded female celebrities of their position as role models and suggested they may be showing far too much skin on media outlets.
Rashida Jones wants female celebrities to stop showing off too much skin. The 37-year-old actor reflected, via Twitter, on the issues surrounding famous females showing off their bodies in the public forum.
Rashida Jones wants famous females to "stop acting like whores."
Jones' comments come only days after Kim Kardashian took a revealing photograph and posted it on Instagram. Plenty of other female celebrities have also appeared in revealing pictures including Nicki Minaj, who appears wearing little clothing more often than not. Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus appeared completely naked in her recent 'Wrecking Ball' video.
On Saturday (19th October) the Parks and Recreation actor wrote a series of tweets all emphasising her dislike of the celebrity obsession with showing far too much flesh. Jones wrote jokingly "celeb news takeaway: she who comes closest to showing the actual inside of her vagina is the most popular." She added the hash tag "stop acting like whores."

She further expanded her point by posting "let me clarify. I don't shame anyone for anything they choose to do with their lives or bodies." However, she continued by pointing out that "we all need to take a look at what we are accepting as "the norm" and hoped female celebrities in future would be "sexy" but "leave something to the imagination."
Jones also felt the importance of reminding celebrities of their position as role models in society. She reminded her celebrity acquaintances that "there is a whole generation of young women watching". She then quipped, in order to lighten the tone, "calling all men to show me dat ass."
