Ray Fisher's portrayal of Cyborg is likely to be picked apart by the end of the week, when 'Justice League' finally makes its big screen debut and becomes the next piece to enter the DC Extended Universe puzzle. Though it's right on the horizon, that hasn't stopped Fisher from looking to the future and the planned solo 'Cyborg' movie, currently set for release in 2020.

As one of the three members of the Justice League who haven't yet had their proper introduction - alongside Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) - Cyborg will be joining those two and Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Superman (Henry Cavill) as the team put aside their differences and go to battle against the villainous Steppenwolf. Banking on his survival and that of his planned solo adventure, Fisher has some ideas about how to move forward with his character.

Of course, Warner Bros. haven't had much to say about the solo 'Cyborg' movie since it was announced, so we imagine the studio are looking to see the kind of reaction the character gets over the coming weeks after making his official debut.

Speaking with Popcorn Talk, Fisher went into how he'd like to approach the planned solo flick, explaining: "With this kind of story, Iā€™d love to see it be a little bit more intimate, a little bit more specific to Cyborg. There is a sort of Cyborg special that they had done years ago where he fights a group called Phantom Limbs, which is this mercenary group of cybernetically-enhanced individuals who are very much like him. I think seeing him take on people who have similar abilities but [are] a much more finely-tuned group of warriors ā€“ seeing how that all would turn out, I think would be really special."

It's clear that Fisher has done his homework when it comes to Cyborg. It'd be fair to say that the hero isn't one of the most instantly recognisable from the world of DC Comics, so Fisher will be hoping he quickly becomes a household name following the release of 'Justice League'. We'll have to wait and see how this one all pans out, but we think Fisher's on to a winner with his proposed storyline.
