Rihanna found watching her TV debut a little awkward…
Rihanna just couldn’t bare to watch her steamy sex scenes on ‘Bates Motel’, Sunday night, so she decided to drink tequila instead.
The singer-turned-actress filmed herself live on Instagram watching her debut appearance as Marion Crane in the A & E series, with the viewing party quickly descending into a drinking game so Rihanna could distract herself from her TV debut.
After hearing herself speak on screen, she said “This is so weird, oh my God. I can’t, I can’t hear my voice. It’s, like, gross!”
Rihanna and her friends then decided to take a shot of tequila every time the name Norman was mentioned, which happened to be quite a lot.
Rihanna stars as Marion Crane, the iconic character portrayed by Janet Leigh in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, in the show’s final season. On Sunday night’s episode the characters of Crane and her boyfriend Sam Loomis were introduced.

The A&E series sees Crane being given a broader backstory than in the 1960 movie, with the character appearing in a two episode arc. On Sunday’s episode viewers learned that Sam was experiencing money troubles and had to leave town to find work, while Marion wanted the couple to marry.
Marion was then shown working as a notary public, where she was turned down for a promotion and a pay rise. But later she saw an opportunity to steal $40,000 cash from her boss after he asked her to transport a briefcase of money to a bank.
Marion left with the cash and called Sam, asking him to meet her at the Bates Motel, where in next week’s episode we’re guessing she takes a rather regrettable shower.
