After just one season as a coach on ‘The Voice’ it appears Rita Ora could be moving on and joining rival talent show ‘The X-Factor’. According to a report by The Sun, talks between Ora and ‘X-Factor’ bosses are heating up and the singer could be about to sign on as Mel B’s replacement.

For weeks the rumour has been that Radio One DJ Nick Grimshaw is set to join the ITV talent show and now word is he could be bringing close pal Rita along with him. The Sun reports that the ‘Poison’ singer is now in ‘advanced talks’ to join the show, with her contract expected to be signed in the next couple of days.

An insider told the paper that Ora had been convinced to swap talent shows by her good friend Nick Grimshaw whose place on the judging panel is yet to be confirmed. 'Re-signing Cheryl and getting Grimmy have changed everything,’ the insider said. 

'Rita really wants to be on the panel now so it's a matter of making the logistics work. There's a lot to work through.’ But ‘X-Factor’ bosses are keeping tight lipped, with a spokesperson commenting, 'There is particularly intense speculation over the judging panel, this year. No formal decision has been made about the line-up as yet.’

But there’s already been plenty of changes to the show this year, with longtime host Dermot O’Leary leaving and being replaced by Caroline Flack and Olly Murs. Louis Walsh is also thought to not be returning for the new series after eleven years on the judging panel. ‘The X-Factor’ is expected to begin its 12th season in August.
