Rixton released new single ‘I Swear She'll Be The Death Of Me’ on Friday, and fans can't help but wonder if the track is about singer Jake Roche’s split from Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson.

On Little Mix’s latest album Glory Days, Jesy’s bandmate Perrie Edwards makes clear references to her split from Zayn Malik and it looks as if Jake has followed in her footsteps and released his own break-up anthem.

The song was first teased by Jake on twitter when he changed his profile picture to an image of a rain cloud, he then updated the illustration to include the words: “I swear she’ll be the death of me.”

The image was later revealed to be the track's artwork, when it was released on the band’s Soundcloud account on Friday.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “Jake has stayed silent since the split but he’s finally to speak his mind.

“He has written a song all about his recent break-up with Jesy and wants to get it out straight away. He has poured his heart into his music and needs his fans to know how he really feels as they have been worried about him.

“The song isn’t a comeback hit, it’s Rixton wanting to reward the fans for being patient and waiting for their new material that’s coming out next year.”

Jake and Jesy became engaged last July, after a very public proposal were the Rixton frontman enlisted the help of pal Ed Sheeran. But last month the couple were reported to have called off their engagement after a series of rows.

“Their relationship became strained and they grew apart,” a source told The Sun in November. "They started rowing and it became too much.”

Another source added: “It’s over as far as Jesy’s concerned and there’s no going back. The wedding is off and her engagement ring won’t be going back on.”
