You've probably seen it by now - Robert Downey Jr storming out of an interview with Channel 4's Kristin-Guru Murphy after the line of questioning turned quite sharply from Avengers: Age of Ultron to the actor's previous dalliances with drugs and jail.

Robert Downey Jr. abruptly ended and walked out of an interview on Wednesday after a line of personal questioning.

The 50 year old actor was speaking to Channel 4’s Krishnan Guru-Murthy about his new film Avengers: The Age of Ultron when he shut the whole thing down, saying “It’s getting a little Diane Sawyer in here,” referencing the famous news anchor.

The interview seemed to be going very well, with Guru-Murthy asking questions the character of ‘Iron Man’, the qualities that Downey has brought to the role, and whether he was a fan of comic book heroes and superheroes as a youngster.

The MTV Movie Awards caught the headlines this week, not for their offbeat winners but for the usual antics of the stars who were in attendance. Those on hand to walk the blue carpet included multiple winner Shailene Woodley as well as Jennifer Lopez, Scarlett Johansson, Hailee Steinfeld, Rebel Wilson, Miles Teller, Mark Ruffalo, Michael B. Jordan, Cara Delevingne and Nat Wolff.

The stars of The Avengers: Age Of Ultron were out in force on Monday night, at the film’s world premiere, held in Los Angeles at the Dolby Theatre. Stars such as Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson walked the red carpet, greeted by hundreds of screaming fans who lined the streets of Hollywood Boulevard.

Robert Downey Jr. has helped raise over £1 million for a UK children’s hospice by auctioning off a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be the Iron Man star’s date to his next movie premiere. The auction raises funds for Julia’s House, a Dorset based children’s hospice of which Guy Ritchie is a patron.

The world has just got another reason to love Robert Downey Jr! The Iron Man and Avengers star took some time out to present a little boy with a 3-D printed bionic arm. Seven year old Alex was born with a partially developed right arm, and the artificial limb was manufactured to look exactly like Downey’s superhero character’s red and gold robotic arm.

Downey posted a heart-warming video of their meeting on his Facebook page on Thursday. In it, the actor adopted the charming on-screen persona of Tony Stark / Iron Man and engaged in a Stark-esque conversation with Alex, who was dressed in a bow-tie.

The 2015 Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards saw accolades going to some very well-deserved movies from the last year - with some even more well-deserved individuals picking them up.

 Unsurprisingly, the Ensemble Cast Award went to the actors from 'The Imitation Game'; a movie depicting the era-defining career of codebreaker Alan Turing during World War II and his subsequent arrest for being homosexual. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead role, with the likes of Allen Leech, Matthew Beard and Alex Lawther - the latter of whom plays Turing's younger self. Directed by the BAFTA nominated Morten Tyldum, the movie has already been nominated for five Golden Globes, and it definitely looks to be in line for an Academy Award.

Heads up, cinephiles: Saturday marked the start of the Palm Springs Film festival and with it, an entire seasons of festivals, award shows and other industry-related goodness. The first event of the season was attended by the likes of Brad Pitt and Robert Downey Jr., both of whom presented awards, but did not receive any. Strange, we know. Although they did add a lot of humour to the stuffy event, according to Variety’s report.

Emma Watson and Dame Judi Dench were among the British movie stars to be honoured at the Britannia Awards. The annual ceremony was hosted by BAFTA at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles on Thursday evening.

Lake Bell and her husband Scott Campbell have welcomed their first child together. A rep for the 35-year-old actress confirmed Bell had given birth to a baby girl. No further details were given.

Bell and Campbell have been together since 2011 after they met on the set of How to Make It in America. Bell was starring and Campbell, a popular tattoo artist who has worked on such stars as Orlando Bloom and Robert Downey Jr, was guest starring as himself. The couple married in 2013 and announced they were expecting their first child at the Tribeca Film Festival in April. The news of the birth was confirmed to E! on Saturday (25th October).

The clip was supposed to air during the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D television series but made its way online on Wednesday (October 22, 2014).
