Soul great Roberta Flack is being sued by tenants who live in her Harlem, New York, apartment block, after a young boy slipped and fell on the stairway.
The parents of young DYSON WILLIAMS claim their son has permanent injuries from his fall, which they insist could have been prevented, and they're suing the KILLING ME SOFTLY singer for $5 million (GBP3.1 million).
The Williams call the building "dangerous, decayed and defective," and their claims have added to the soul star's mounting concerns about the building, which has already been slapped with violations for poor lighting and boiler problems by the City of New York in the past year (03).
Attorneys representing Flack, who lives in New York's swanky DAKOTA BUILDING, insist the latest incident is a simple case of "slip and fall."17/10/2003 08:54
