Latin singer Robi Draco Rosa has beaten cancer.

Ricky Martin's former bandmate in Menudo announced last year (11) that he had been undergoing treatment for 18 months after he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

He is currently recovering from a stem cell transplant and now his representative, Angelo Medina, reveals Draco Rosa is cancer-free.

Announcing the news on Wednesday (17Oct12), Medina said, "Today, after almost two years, we're celebrating his complete recovery from this devastating illness...

"Basically, two years have passed, in which he grew as a human being and we've seen how this man, so full of feeling, has been like the best gladiator. He's a warrior."

However, fans will have to wait another few months to hear Draco Rosa's new music - earlier this week (begs15Oct12), label bosses at Sony Music opted to delay the November (12) release of his forthcoming duets album, Vida, until February (13) to allow the 43-year-old star extra time to regain his health.
