American singer-songwriter Robin Thicke has admitted he lost his sense of ''perspective'' after splitting from his wife, actress Paula Patton.
Robin Thicke lost his sense of ''perspective'' after splitting from Paula Patton.
The 38-year-old singer-songwriter - whose ten-year marriage to the stunning actress was officially ended earlier this year - has admitted his 'Paula' album was an embarrassment and was a result of his confused state of mind in the period after their split.
Robin - who has a young son, Julian, with his ex-wife - said: ''I had lost my way... I took some time off to be with my son, and to be with my family and close friends. And the more time I took off, the more everything became clear.''
Meanwhile, Robin admitted his label and management team did not think the album was a good idea.
He told the New York Times newspaper: ''I was struggling through my toughest time, and I decided to share it. And I remember my team and my record company didn't want me to put it out, but they stuck by me.
''In hindsight, the only thing I would have done differently was, I wouldn't have promoted it or sold it. I would have given it away. That would have kept the purity of the message intact.''
