Ronan Keating said Steven Gately had a ''hand'' in making his wedding to Storm Uechtritz ''perfect''.

The Boyzone singer, 38, married 34-year-old Australian beauty earlier this month and said he believes his late friend and bandmate - who tragically died from an undiagnosed heart condition in 2009 aged 33 - was there watching over him.

Ronan said: ''I know that my Mam, Steo and Storm's granddad had a hand in making sure the weather was perfect - the one thing that was out of our hands.''

Bandmate Keith Duffy, 40, agreed and told Hello!: ''Steo is here, that's for sure.''

Ronan's three children with his first wife Yvonne Connolly all had roles on the big day.

Jack, 16 was best man whilst Missy, 14, and Ali, nine were maid of honor and flower girl and the family's pug Missy was ring-bearer.

Meanwhile, Ronan said that Scotland was the location of choce for the marriage to because it was ''neutral ground'' for their respective families.

He said: ''All of our families are going to be there - everyone. Rather than doing it in Australia or in Ireland we said we'd go to neutral ground and meet there. It's a very special place for us.''

Guests at the wedding included Dannii Minogue, Brian McFadden as well as his Boyzone band-mates Shane Lynch and Mikey Graham.
