The Rolling Stones are planning UK gigs for next year.

British fans of the rock group - which includes Sir Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts - were devastated to find out that the band had missed out the UK on their last tour, the No Filter European Tour, earlier this year but Mick has now revealed the group are ''getting plans in place'' to perform in the UK in 2018.

Mick told The Sun newspaper: ''We were disappointed not to perform in the UK on our recent jaunt and we're looking forward to getting plans in place to do so next year.''

The Rolling Stones' guitarist Ronnie Wood has this past week revealed he was diagnosed with lung cancer ahead of the group's European tour this year. Though he's healthy for now, the star has been counting his blessings ever since undergoing surgery to remove the cancer from his body.

Wood even took to Twitter following the news being broken, writing: "Thank you for all your words of support today ~ I'm feeling great and ready to see you on the road next month".

The 35-year-old radio and television personality married the 40-year-old guitarist in 2014, and the blonde-haired beauty has admitted she wishes she could be as skilled with musical instruments as her spouse and her father-in-law Ronnie Wood.

Speaking about the one talent she yearns for to Stylist magazine, the style icon said: ''To be musical, I look at my husband [Jesse Wood] and my father-in-law [Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones] and they have this creative channel and it just flows. I don't have a musical bone in my body.''

Ronnie Wood Recovering After Successful Lung Operation

Ronnie Wood has had a lucky escape from serious illness by having a lesion in his lung surgically removed after it was discovered in its early stages by doctors. Thankfully, he'll be healthy enough to go ahead with the Rolling Stones tour later this year.

The 69-year-old Rolling Stones guitarist is expected to recover fully following his operation, as confirmed by a spokesperson to the media yesterday (May 24th 2017). No further treatment is needed and he's already feeling 'fine'.

In 1995 The Rolling Stones released an album called Stripped. It featured a number of (predominantly acoustic) covers of their own material and some of their favourite songs to play to support the release of the album they played 3 intimate gigs. Now the band has released footage of the studio recording process along with a number of interview snippets and numerous on stage performances from three of their European dates in 1995: The Paradiso in Amsterdam, L'Olympia in Paris and Brixton Academy in London in July.

The Rolling Stones have expressed their puzzlement at the decision taken by London Underground to censor the promotional poster for their upcoming exhibition at tube stations around the capital.

On Wednesday (July 8th), The Guardian reported that the poster, featuring the band’s iconic ‘lips and tongue’ logo over the crotch area of a scantily clad woman, had been rejected by regulators in charge of advertising standards. Exterion Media, as well as bus regulators Clear Channel, both deemed the image too suggestive.

The Rolling Stones are set to hit the road yet again, this time re-visiting the States for the first time in nine years on their 15-date Zip Code tour. The veteran rockers will be performing everywhere from San Diego to Quebec in this North American bonanza.

Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood will be performing at some of the biggest stadiums in the US and Canada on their forthcoming Summer tour which will run from May to July; kicking off at San Diego's Petco Park and wrapping up in Quebec with Le Festival D'Été de Québec, tickets for which will be available in April.

Some sad news has come from the world of music today, with the announcement that Ian McLagan, keyboardist with British rock legends the Faces and musical collaborator with other big name artists, has died at the age of 69.

A statement on the musician’s official website said that McLagan died on Wednesday in Austin, Texas, having suffered a stroke the previous day. He was a highly respected figure in the industry, and his CV paints a picture of somebody constantly behind the scenes throughout rock history.

One Direction's This Is Us, a documentary following the band's rise from X-Factor contestants to one of the biggest pop groups in the world. The documentary premiered in London on Tuesday (20th August) in Leicester Square, London. Screaming fans awaited One Direction and the other celebrity attendees.

The band which consists of Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson; all attended the premiere and greeted fans of the red carpet. The band was formed in 2010 on The X-Factor's seventh season. The group are one of the most popular in the world and this was reflected in the turnout of fans at the premiere. Fans were so determined to see their music heroes that some camped out in Leicester Square the night before.
