"We're beyond trying to see another person's point of view," De Niro said in a new interview.
The two-time Oscar winner was speaking an interview ahead of the Tribeca Film Festival 2018, alongside the event’s co-founder Jane Rosenthal this week. He was asked about the success of the recent revival of sitcom ‘Roseanne’, whose writer and star Roseanne Barr is a publicly outspoken Trump supporter.
“I’ve never seen her show before, I didn’t know she was supporting Trump, but I have no interest in that,” De Niro told IndieWire. “We’re at a point with all of us this where it’s beyond trying to see another person’s point of view. There are ways you can talk about that, but we’re at a point where the things that are happening in our country are so bad and it comes from Trump.”

Making its comeback to ABC after 21 years, 'Roseanne' pulled in an impressive 18.1 million average on Tuesday night.
American TV viewers flocked to the long-awaited re-boot of sitcom ‘Roseanne’ earlier this week, making the ABC show a runaway ratings success with an estimated 18.1 million viewers switching on.
More than two decades after its lengthy original run ended, actress and comedian Roseanne Barr’s eponymous show returned to the small screen with an hour-long special on Tuesday night (March 27th).
It was an almost unprecedented success, with 10% more viewers tuning in than for the May 1997 original finale of ‘Roseanne’, which had been going since 1988. Given the massive proliferation in channels, platforms and streaming in the 21 years since it ended, that’s a huge success, and one that ABC’s Entertainment president Channing Dungey hailed as proof that broadcast TV wasn’t dead.

Brant Pindivic has never been interested in joining the Facebook furore - and is reluctant to allow his kids to sign up to it too. But what's really holding him back from getting involved with such a thriving online community? Brant decides to explore the real dangers of the social networking site, as well as the positives that have come out of it, and the frank absurdities of it. He explores how Facebook has created a narcissistic civilisation obsessed with 'selfies' and having as many 'friends' as possible, how it lays bare people's personal information so blatantly that criminals are able to spy on your property and even demonstrates the weirdness of acting how you would on Facebook in real life. He also tries to make contact with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to get to the bottom of what Facebook is really all about.

The actress and comedienne made the revelation in an interview with The Daily Beast ahead of the premiere of a documentary film about her Green Party candidacy.
Roseanne Barr has revealed that she’s slowly losing her eyesight. In an interview with The Daily Beast released on Monday, the 62 year old comedienne spoke forthrightly about her deteriorating eyesight, making the revelation as part of an explanation for her use of medical marijuana.
“I have macular degeneration and glaucoma, so it's good for me for that because I have pressure in my eyes. It's a good medicine for a lot of things,” she explained. Barr has no idea when it will happen, but she knows that eventually she will go completely blind.

Roseanne Barr looked appropriately patriotic in an American flag scarf and matching cowboy boots as she arrived for the screening of her new documentary 'Roseanne For President', which took place at New York's 2015 Tribeca Film Festival. The film follows her journey into politics as she attempts to run for election.
We've had plenty of Cosby-related jokes over the past week, but this one... well, see for yourself.
Roseanne Barr has a sick and twisted sense of humor – but that’s why her fans love her, right? The comedienne made more than a few people cringe with a couple of tweets recently. Bonus points – she referenced the highly publicized Bill Cosby case from the past couple of weeks. Posting a picture of her bloody, swollen face, Barr added the caption “Got in a tussle w Bill Cosby. U shoyld see that mfer.”

We can't actually show you the tweet, because, you know, she deleted it. But once you put something online, it's there forever, so you can see a screenshot over on New York Daily News. So was Roseanne's tweet bold and gutsy for challenging Cosby on the rape allegations, or just plain insensitive to actual victims of violence? Discuss.

The actress has had enough of the "morons" of tinsel town.
Roseanne Barr has shocked the Twittersphere with a series of angry, unhinged and profanity-laced tweets where the 6-year-old comedian unleashed her apparently true feelings towards Hollywood. "I'm never going to work in television again. I'm never going to even attempt it. I feel as if I've been insulted/assaulted for over a year," she wrote, launching a slew of fury towards those she feels wronged by.

The rant was seemingly sparked after creative difficulties with the sitcom Barr is creating for US network NBC with Nurse Jackie creator Linda Wallen arose. "I don't have the emotional stability to withstand being manipulated and lied to anymore-now that I'm old," Roseanne tweeted, referencing apparent difficulties she had in the development process for her new show.
