She says the same people supporting Gunn have been "blacklisting" her since her series 'Roseanne' was cancelled.
Roseanne Barr has expressed incredulity and disgust at the support that director James Gunn has received since he was dropped by Disney from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, saying that the same people who have expressed support for him have been “blacklisting” her.
Barr was fired by ABC a couple of months back and the revival of her comedy series ‘Roseanne’ cancelled, after she made a racist comment on Twitter about former Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett.
Gunn last week was removed as the director of the third Guardians of the Galaxy movie by Disney (who also own ABC) after a series of jokes about rape and paedophilia he had tweeted between 2008 and 2012 emerged.

The Rick and Morty co-creator has since deleted his Twitter account
It seems no-one is safe from the unearthing of past problematic posts or projects and the latest to suffer from a difficult recent revelation is Rick and Morty co-creator, Dan Harmon. The critically-acclaimed animation has propelled Harmon into the spotlight but he has been forced to apologise after an unsavoury video sketch he created in 2009 resurfaced.

Almost a decade ago, the 45-year-old created and starred in a five-minute sketch that saw him play a therapist who repeatedly molested infants.

Roseanne Barr's damage control is over, and the star is now lashing out at ABC once more following the cancellation of her hit series 'Roseanne'.
Earlier this year, US network ABC were forced to cancel their hit show 'Roseanne' just one season deep into the revival, after its leading star Roseanne Barr tweeted a racist message towards former government official and Barack Obama advisor, Valerie Jarrett. Barr blamed sleeping medication for the message, and lashed out at some of her co-stars on the show, before finally apologising.
Roseanne Barr is refusing to take responsibility once more
Now though, she seems to be going back on any of the damage control she's put out to-date, stating that her support and vote for Donald Trump to become President is the real reason 'Roseanne' was brought to an end after just a single season.

Roseanne Barr says she accepted a settlement for a 'Roseanne' spinoff, despite 'not asking' for a payout.
With ABC recently announcing they were officially going ahead with a 'Roseanne' spinoff called 'The Conners', many wondered just what it took for Roseanne Barr to relinquish her rights to the series and characters that she had helped create and bring to audiences across the globe.
Roseanne Barr says she didn't want a payout from ABC
We know that John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, Lecy Goranson, and Michael Fishman will all be returning for the spinoff show, with additional cast to be announced at a later date, along with an official premiere. Fans also found out that the show would be airing before the end of the year, at same point in the autumn.

ABC has commissioned at 10-episode series tentatively called 'The Conners', set for the autumn.
ABC has acted upon recent rumours and given the green-light to a spin-off comedy series from the cancelled ‘Roseanne’ without the involvement of its creator, Roseanne Barr.
The original show’s other writers, producers and cast members will all appear in a new show with the working title ‘The Conners’. With a pututative release date for the autumn if 2018, it’s expected to have Roseanne's daughter Darlene, played by Sara Gilbert, as the main protagonist. The other core cast members John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Lecy Goranson and Michael Fishman will also star in the first season of 10 episodes.
In a joint statement on Thursday (June 21st) thanking the support they had received, the five stars said that their characters “not only have a place in our hearts, but in the hearts and homes of our audience. We are so happy to have the opportunity to return with the cast and crew to continue to share those stories through love and laughter.”

If ABC went ahead with a 'Roseanne' spinoff as things currently stand, the titular star would profit from the episodes.
Roseanne Barr made a huge mistake when she sent out a racist tweet attacking former President Barack Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett; calling her the "baby" of the "muslim brotherhood and planet of the apes". The social media move saw the star's critically-acclaimed hit ABC show 'Roseanne' cancelled after just one season of the revival, despite Barr's claims that her sleeping pills had caused her to send out the message.
Roseanne Barr could be about to receive a pay-out from ABC
Since she was fired and the show was taken off air, ABC have reportedly been working hard on trying to bring a spinoff to the small screen. One of the ideas said to be leading the pack is to bring a show focusing on Sara Gilbert's character Darlene to the forefront, with many other members of the cast also starring.
'Roseanne' may be over, but ABC are looking into other ways to allow the rest of the show's cast another shot in the spotlight.
Roseanne Barr's racist tweet concerning Valerie Jarrett may have seen her ABC series 'Roseanne' cancelled by the network, and the star fired from a number of different places and projects, including her talent agency, but the rest of the show's cast could be given a new lease of life with a spinoff, it's been revealed.
Roseanne Barr's Twitter racism has seen her show 'Roseanne' cancelled
Recent reports have claimed that a lot of work is being done behind-the-scenes at ABC to ensure a spinoff can be created out of all of the chaos, bringing back original writers, showrunner Bruce Helford, and of course the 'Roseanne' cast, minus its titular star. One idea that found its way into the public domain was a show based around Sara Gilbert's character Darlene Conner, but nothing has been made official just yet.

Sheen took to Twitter to call for a renewal of 'Two and a Half Men' in the aftermath of Roseanne Barr's racist tweet.
American actor Charlie Sheen has called for a re-boot of his highly successful comedy series ‘Two and a Half Men’ in the aftermath of the much-publicised cancellation of ‘Roseanne’ earlier this week.
The 52 year old star famously held down the role of Charlie Harper on CBS’ runaway success ‘Two and a Half Men’ until its seventh season in 2011, when he was fired for erratic behaviour and for publicly criticising the series’ creator Chuck Lorre. Ashton Kutcher stepped in to take Sheen’s place for four more seasons until it finished in 2015.
Sheen tweeted a 2003 script from the show with his character's name ‘Charlie’ written on it, the same day ‘Roseanne’ was given the chop by ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey.
The comedian has said that the racist tweet which caused her sitcom 'Roseanne' to be axed by ABC was the result of Ambien.
Roseanne Barr has blamed sleeping pills for the tweet in which she compared a former aide of Barack Obama’s to an ape, which resulted in the cancellation of her comedy series ‘Roseanne’.
The 65 year old had successfully revived her formerly much-beloved Nineties comedy series ‘Roseanne’ on ABC earlier this year, with the network green-lighting a second season after the initial run concluded amid great ratings. However, ABC abruptly announced that they were dropping the show earlier this week, after a tweet concerning Valerie Jarrett, a former senior Obama advisor who was born in Iran to African-American parents.
In the subsequent days, Barr has variously apologised and vowed to leave Twitter but also continued to dig her hole even deeper.

"We're beyond trying to see another person's point of view," De Niro said in a new interview.
The two-time Oscar winner was speaking an interview ahead of the Tribeca Film Festival 2018, alongside the event’s co-founder Jane Rosenthal this week. He was asked about the success of the recent revival of sitcom ‘Roseanne’, whose writer and star Roseanne Barr is a publicly outspoken Trump supporter.
“I’ve never seen her show before, I didn’t know she was supporting Trump, but I have no interest in that,” De Niro told IndieWire. “We’re at a point with all of us this where it’s beyond trying to see another person’s point of view. There are ways you can talk about that, but we’re at a point where the things that are happening in our country are so bad and it comes from Trump.”
