Roseanne Barr has shocked the Twittersphere with a series of angry, unhinged and profanity-laced tweets where the 6-year-old comedian unleashed her apparently true feelings towards Hollywood. "I'm never going to work in television again. I'm never going to even attempt it. I feel as if I've been insulted/assaulted for over a year," she wrote, launching a slew of fury towards those she feels wronged by.

The rant was seemingly sparked after creative difficulties with the sitcom Barr is creating for US network NBC with Nurse Jackie creator Linda Wallen arose. "I don't have the emotional stability to withstand being manipulated and lied to anymore-now that I'm old," Roseanne tweeted, referencing apparent difficulties she had in the development process for her new show.

"Development process went like this," Barr tweeted. "Show-runner disappeared for 7 weeks-never returned any calls from me - I was told she goes into a cave and cannot be reached by me. That was the first thing that happened after I signed on two [sic] collaborate."

"Every time someone tells me I'm a genius - that means I'm going to get f**ked," wrote a displeased Barr, adding "The women in Hollywood cannot fall to their knees to suck d**k fast enough." Complaining that the proposed script did not "resonate" with her, she elaborated "There were hardly any jokes in the script, and I didn't connect with the characters at all. My family told me 2 quit-I kept on trying."

Strangely, Barr went on to defend Alec Baldwin, referring to the recent incident where Baldwin shouted homophobic abuse at a photographer. "No wonder Alec Baldwin calls people names and s**t - he should lay off gays and go for morons though," she raged before turning her anger towards TV anchor Anderson Cooper: "Anderson Cooper is a toad."

Will Anyone Take Heed?

"Newsflash: Yes, I do have mental health issues. Decent ppl refrain from bullying, lying to, manipulating & taking advantage of ppl like me," wrote Barr before wrapping up the evening's tirade with an exhausted "No more drunk tweeting late at night for me!"

Barr starred in her own top-rated sitcom, Roseanne, which was the most watched television show in America in the late 1980s and ran for nine seasons until 1997.
