Speaking to Access Hollywood, Bullock revealed how Clooney had encouraged a mutual friend to ask Bullock out. Clooney’s comments started a four year romance between the unnamed friend and Bullock.

"When I came out after I spent time with George, George went to him and said, 'If you don't marry her, I will," 51-year-old Bullock revealed. "George is not gonna marry anybody except for Amal. He was waiting 30 years to do that."

"But that was sort of the thing that sort of got him to just hang with me, the boyfriend," Bullock said. "So we were together for four years after that, thanks to George."

Bullock, who previously dated such high-profile man as Matthew Mcconaughey and Ryan Gosling, soon moved on from the unnamed boyfriend. She married Monster Garage host, Jesse James, in 2005 but they divorced five years later.

Love was also in the air for Bullock at the premiere as she used it as an opportunity to step out with her new boyfriend in public for the first time. Bullock attended the premiere alongside 32-year-old American Football player, Bryan Randall. The couple have only been dating for a few months and they were first linked together in July.

Bullock stars alongside Billy Bob Thornton, Anthony Mackie, Scoot McNairy and Zoe Kazan in Our Brand Is Crisis. The film follows Calamity (Bullock), a political consultant of a U.S. political consultancy firm, who is employed by a Bolivian politician to help him win the presidential election. The film is based on the events of the 2002 Bolivian presidential election and inspired by the 2005 documentary film of the same name.

Our Brand Is Crisis is out in U.S. cinemas from 30th October and is set to be released in the U.K. on 22nd January 2016.
